One property on Midigama Beach

Surf Club Midigama is our take on a seaside way of life: 120 metres of Midigama Beach, with the Lazy Left surf break directly out front, and everything a guest needs within the property.

The Beach Club anchors it: a restaurant, a bar and a coffee counter, a pool with floating sunbeds, and day beds on the sand, open from morning coffee until late. Along the beach sit the Chalets, five pastel two-storey buildings of Deluxe and Premier rooms, every one sea-facing with direct access to the beach, and a Club Premier on the top floor of the Club House.

It is made by Utropic, who have been building places on this coast since 2010.

Surf

Lazy Left, directly out front.

Lazy Left is one of Sri Lanka's best-known surf breaks, and it breaks in front of the Club House: you can watch it from the terrace and walk to it from the beach. Our surf school, run by Perfect Wave, is opening soon, with lessons and packages throughout the season.

Three ways to stay

Four additional chalets opening for the Happy Surf Season, bringing the collection to 19 rooms. Five pastel two-storey chalets set directly on the beach, and a Club Premier on the top floor of the Club House. Every room is sea-facing, with a king-size bed, 400 thread-count linen, teak floors and brass.

Our take on Seaside Cuisine: Sri Lankan produce and coastal techniques, curing, fermenting, grilling and pickling, built around local fish, vegetables, coconut, spice and rice, with influences from the Mediterranean, the Middle East and Asia.

Seaside Alchemy

A sultry homage to hydration.

Craft cocktails made with seasonal Sri Lankan fruit, house infusions and ferments, alongside the classics. Coffee, matcha and fresh juice by day; cold beer, wine and cocktails into the evening.
